Today the colorful snake of nose-to-tail bikes made its way across one of the most compelling flat ground you'll find to visit in Italy. Stage 13's 198km passed through our favorite small cities from Ravenna to Verona, passing through Mantua and Ferrara on the way.
The official Giro site says this about the route:
The 13th stage starts in Ravenna to pay homage to Dante – who died here exactly 700 years ago – and arrives in Verona, where Dante stayed for seven years during his exile. Today is also the 90th anniversary of the Maglia Rosa, passing through Bagnolo Po, the hometown of Learco Guerra, the first rider to wear it in 1931.
Have you seen a giro stage? The mosaics of Ravenna? The Crocodile Church near Mantua?
